The Workshop

People at The Workshop

The Workshop is part of the Economic Development Unit and provides employment and skills support to help local residents improve their skills, qualifications and work experience as well as providing support to help find sustainable employment. 

What we do

Since 2011, together across both the Work Programme and Skills for Employment, The Workshop have directly assisted over 1,300 people into employment and have also helped to improve the confidence, skills, qualifications and overall employability of between 4,000 and 5,000 other Bolton residents.  This support is provided free to individuals.

A range of free online training is available to help with your confidence, employability skills, health and wellbeing.  Work placements are available in a number of companies across Bolton, depending on what sector you want to work in.
