Connexions Personal Advisers
Information, advice and guidance (IAG) for young people in Bolton is provided by Connexions Personal Advisers, who are part of the local Early Intervention and Connexions Service.
Connexions Personal Advisers’ primary role is to provide careers advice and guidance. They work closely with other local organisations to make sure that young people receive specialist help and advice to overcome any problem or issue that is stopping them from making good progress with their education and future career choices.
Young people can see a Connexions Personal Adviser in the following locations:
- Local authority secondary schools (including special schools and schools with sixth forms)
- Connexions Centre at The BASE
- Connexions Access Centre in Farnworth
Connexions Personal Advisers also provide additional help and support to the following groups:
- Young people at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training)
- Young people with special educational needs
- Looked after Children (LAC)
- Young people in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)
