We offer comprehensive, high quality training courses to suit the mandatory and essential training requirements of the Adult Social Care workforce in Bolton.
Our training is open to all internal adult social care staff, in addition we offer training to organisations who are part of The Bolton Social Care and Health Training Partnership.
The partnership has a membership that represents over 3,000 social care staff across the following organisations:

Access free e-learning courses to help you understand changes to care and support following the introduction of the Care Act.
If you're a partner organisation or a staff member, register with the e-learning system which will suggest modules for you depending on your job role or organisation, but this is not restricted in any way.

In addition to the courses listed in this programme the Workforce Planning and Development Team will be able to design, co ordinate and commission bespoke courses specific to your needs, looking at ways in which your staff can develop, not only through direct training but by linking to others in a similar situation.
How to book onto a course
Please follow the guidelines at the bottom of each course listed in our Training Programme above.
Bookings made via the Training Shared Service Centre
(Available in Oracle's Self-Service for Employees 'Training' section)
Once you send in a booking form you will automatically be booked on the course. If the course is full, you will be contacted and offered an alternative place (if available) or your place will be cancelled.
Important - You will receive a Joining Instruction notification approximately 6 weeks prior to the course date, however, please note this is not a reminder to attend and will not be accepted as a reason to waive the fee for not attending.
To cancel a course please notify the Training Shared Service Centre on 01204 337600 or email email@example.com A cancellation must be made at least 3 weeks prior to the event date, otherwise the following charges will apply:
- If you cancel 3 weeks prior to the course – No charge
- If you cancel the course 2/3 weeks of the course date £25
- If you cancel a course within one week of the course date or do not attend, the chargeable fee will be £50.00 (Note no subsidies)
Important – Non-attendance without prior notice will always be charged at full rate unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Continuing Professional Development
The partnership also administers Workforce Development Funding (WDF) on behalf of Skills for Care, partners can access WDF to support their employees continuous professional development.
