We recognise the valuable role that voluntary and community groups play in enhancing the life of the people of Bolton. If you are involved in such a group, you may be eligible to apply for grant funding from our Voluntary Sector Grants Scheme.
The grants are available only to voluntary, community or non-profit making groups and not for commercial groups, public sector departments or individuals. Grants cannot be made for religious or political purposes.
- We aim to process applications within 8 weeks
- More complex projects take longer
- Grants are not awarded for any works started or items bought before the grant is fully approved
- The same application form is used to apply for both ward based and borough wide grants
- Completed application forms along with any additional information should be returned to the address listed under 'Contact information' on the right hand side of this page
- Print an application pack and read the criteria notes, see 'Downloads' (top right)
- Complete all parts of the application form and post it back to us
- If you cannot download the pack, please see the contact table at the bottom of this page and telephone the number relevant to your area of Bolton and request the application form to be sent to you
