Bolton’s Gifted and Talented Strategies are developed with the support of the Lead Teachers Network and the Council’s consultants team has produced a guidance materials to assist schools in embedding strategies in classrooms in Bolton. As a measure of their success, Bolton’s strategies have also been bought into by other local authorities.
Close links exist with Bolton University in promoting master classes across a range of subjects, residential courses and raising aspirations for Higher Education.
Coaching support for newly appointed Lead teachers for schools is available and Local Authority consultants offer specific support for Gifted and Talented teachers and their pupils.
