Your local library

We have a network of 15 libraries, supported by the Library Link scheme and a neighbourhood library at Withins school. We provide information and resources to all residents, visitors, students and workers within the borough of Bolton. Staff at all our libraries will be only too pleased to help you find what you’re looking for.

To find out which is your nearest library please click on the Residents tab at the top of the page.  Select My Nearest and enter your address or postcode into the search box.  Your nearest libraries will be listed under Leisure and Culture near the bottom of the page.

If you already know which library you are interested in, please click on the relevant link in the list on the right.

Membership of Bolton Libraries is free and you can use your library card at any of our libraries. We have a wide range of resources and services for your educational, informational and recreational needs, including:
