Extended Services are being developed to help families live and learn together.
Across the country, schools are working with local groups and organisations to provide services that allow parents to support their family and give children / young people the chance to get involved in lots of different activities.
All schools have been asked to make sure that they work with local groups so that families can access a range of services including:
- Childcare
- Information for parents
- Chances for parents to learn with their child / young person, or about what their child is learning at school
- Quick access to services where children / young people need them
- Lots of activities for children / young people in school and their community – including sports, arts, drama and support with their learning in school
Services may be offered by schools or organisations working in your community. Schools will be asking you to tell them what support your family needs so make sure you tell them!
