Bolton residents of any age and anyone else who uses leisure centres, libraries, shops and services in the borough can get their Bolton Smart or BSmart card. Your card is issued free of charge.
Which card is for me?
Bolton Smart card
The card for residents aged over 17 and is packed full of benefits
- Acts as your library card.
- Is your leisure card including FreeBie.
- Has your sQuid e-purse, so you can pay with your card.
- Gives you discounts at shops, restuarants and other Bolton outlets.
BSmart card
The card for young people in Bolton aged 16 and under. Get one and get a whole lot of benefits.
- Enjoy discounts at outlets across Bolton offering activities for young people.
- You, your friends and family can top up your card using you sQuid e-purse.
- Acts as proof of ID for concessionary bus travel (currently Arriva buses only)
- Is your library card.
- Is also your leisure card including FreeBie.
Pay with your Bolton Smart or BSmart card
You can now put money on to your Bolton Smart or BSmart card to make paying for everyday items quick and easy.
sQuid is free to get and free to use. No need to find the right change and you can use it in over 100 places across Bolton, including many town centre shops, cafes and newsagents.
Is there a sQuid logo already on the front of your card?
Yes...if your Bolton Smart card or BSmart card has the sQuid logo on the front, then sQuid is already available to you. All BSmart cards already have sQuid.
No...if your Bolton Smart card does not have the sQuid logo on the front, then you can easily get sQuid added to it by visiting your nearest enrolment point.
