Bolton residents of any age and anyone else who uses leisure centres, shops and services in the borough can get their Bolton Smart or BSmart card. Your card is issued free of charge.

Which card is for me?
Bolton Smart card
This card is for anyone aged 17 and over.
- Is your leisure card, including FreeBie.
- Has a sQuid purse so you can make cashless payments with your card at local outlets
- Gives you discounts at shops, restuarants and other outlets.
BSmart card
If you are aged 16 and under BSmart is the card for you. Get one and get a whole lot of benefits.
- Its your leisure card and lets you swim for free through the Freebie scheme
- You, your friends and family can top up your card using your sQuid BSmart e-purse and pay for activities at venues across Bolton.

Pay with your Bolton Smart or BSmart card
You can now load money on to your Bolton Smart or BSmart card to make paying for everyday items and for bus travel quick and easy.
The sQuid purse on your card is free to use. No need to find the right change and you can use it in over 100 places across Bolton, including shops, cafes and newsagents.
If you already have a card, does it have the sQuid logo on the front?
Yes...if your Bolton Smart card has the sQuid logo on the front, then the sQuid purse are already available to you. NB: All BSmart cards already have the epurses, plus the BSmart purse.
No...if your Bolton Smart card does not have the sQuid logo on the front and you want to use it to make cashless payments, call at your nearest enrolment point to get your card upgraded.
