This half term Bolton Council will launch a new summer activity programme for children and young people across the borough.

A roadshow offering free activities and providing information on what will be available throughout the summer will be touring Bolton from Monday, May 30 until Friday, June 4.

These activities include arts and crafts, and a climbing wall, while those attending will be able to take away a copy of the summer programme.

This summer’s events will be delivered in partnership with various community, voluntary, and privately run organisations. Once the programme is launched, activities will be advertised through the council’s website, children’s and young people’s centres, schools and other community venues.

Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Children’s Services, Councillor Nick Peel, said: “Activities such as those taking place this summer offer opportunities for families from a wide range of different backgrounds, and support some of Bolton’s most vulnerable children and young people.

The roadshows taking place in half term will give a taste of what’s to come in the next few months, and provide parents and carers with all the information they need to plan activities for their children throughout the summer.”

For more information on the roadshows or the summer programme please contact the 5-19 Service Administration Team on 01204 332323.

The roadshow will be running from 11am until 4pm in: Victoria Square (Tuesday, May 31); Moss Bank Park (Wednesday, June 1); Moses Gate Country Park (Thursday June 2); and Middlebrook Retail Park and Egerton Park (Friday June 3).
