Leverhulme Park Community Leisure Centre opens its doors for a great family fun day on Saturday, December 11.
Between noon and 4pm, activities include bouncy castles, Sumo wrestling, a gladiator duel and go-karting, all for £1 a go.
Children can also have a go on an outdoor climbing wall free of charge.
Parking and entry to the centre is also free of charge.
The leisure centre, which is run by Bolton Community Leisure Trust in association with Serco and Bolton Council, aims to provide a cheap, fun day out for local families to beat the winter blues.
Steve Moss, duty manager at Leverhulme Park Community Leisure Centre, said: “It will be a great day out for parents who are looking for safe and fun activities for their children in the run up to Christmas. All the events, most of which are indoors, are supervised and are suitable for families with children aged three to 13.”
Richard Saunders, Vice Chairman of the Bolton Community Leisure Trust and Chief Executive for Greater Sport, added: “We want to encourage more youngsters to take up sports to counter rising levels of childhood obesity. Leverhulme Park is a modern health and leisure complex with excellent facilities such as fitness suites, a crèche, indoor and outdoor athletics tracks, indoor bowls and martial arts/dance studios. We hope that families attending the Winter Fair will be impressed by what’s on their doorstep and decide to take up sport in the future to keep fit.”
