Work will take place to improve two roads as part of the council’s ongoing investment in the town centre.
The whole length of Bridge Street, and Deansgate from its junction with Bank Street and Churchgate to Bridge Street, will be resurfaced on two consecutive Sundays in October (9 and 16).
The work is part of Bolton Council’s annual highways improvement programme to maintain roads.
In order for the work to take place safely, road closures will be in place from 7am to 6.30pm on both days.
Deansgate will be closed at its junction with Bank Street and Churchgate, and Bridge Street will be closed at its junction with Bow Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained and a signed diversion will be in place via Bank Street, Manor Street and Bow Street.
Businesses and motorists are asked to be patient while the work is underway. Contact Bolton Council’s helpline on 01204 336677 for further information.
