Two tutu-clad prima ballerinas will entertain shoppers in Bolton on Saturday (06/02).
Dressed in lilac lycra and fuschia-coloured net skirts, Fifi Pavlova and Dame Margot Fondue, will take to Victoria Square to launch a new round of town centre events.
Following the success of Saturday entertainment in the town centre last year, Bolton Council has organised a variety of acts over the next couple of months.
Shoppers will be delighted to see the welcome return of Titan the Robot, who caused a stir last February, and the Bread and Butter Theatre Company who brought the bizarre Van Dunk Brothers and their synchronised swimming, minus the water!
There will also be a host of new acts for 2010, including George Orange, a clown with plenty of tricks and stunts; the Grand Theatre of Lemmings with their Mechanical Morris Men show and double act Jones and Bernard who have a great repertoire of comedy characters.
Executive member for Development and Regeneration, Councillor John Byrne, said: “Bolton is the place to be this February and March as we have a great line-up of entertainment planned for Saturday afternoons.
“Last year’s events were really well received and enjoyed by visitors to the town centre so we have decided to book some of the more popular ones again and try out some new acts. I hope everyone enjoys them once again.”
The Bread and Butter Theatre Company’s Ballerinas will perform in and around Victoria Square on Saturday, February 6 at noon, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
