What do the Commonwealth Games, Bolton Scene and the future of mills have in common?
Nothing at first glance, but they are examples of a wide range of topics the council has asked the public about recently.
Most consultation is done electronically, and the council would like to put together a list of people living in the borough who are happy to give their views by completing quick electronic questionnaires.
Members of the ‘epanel’ will be sent an email, with a link to the questionnaire, which they can complete and return online. These could be about a range of topics, and people only need to take part in the surveys they’re interested in.
Electronic surveys are much cheaper than postal surveys as there are no printing, stationery or postage costs and less administration time.
With the launch of the new electronic panel the Bolton Citizen’s Panel is being disbanded. Members have given valuable help to the council over the years and the council would like to thank them for their contributions. They can continue to share their views through the new ‘epanel’.
If you would like to join the epanel or find out more, just send your email address to the Consultation team.
You will receive a quick ‘about you’ questionnaire to complete, and then you will be able to have your say about a range of issues that affect the borough.
All former members of the Citizen's Panel are welcome to join the new epanel. We will be contacting all members we hold an email address for. If you don't hear from us and would like to join the new panel please send us your email address to continue to get your surveys.
