Young musicians in Bolton will have the chance to perform alongside a world-famous orchestra.
A special evening of music has been organised by Bolton Music Service and the Hallé Orchestra for some of the most promising young strings players in Bolton.
Bolton Music Service and the Hallé Orchestra enjoy a well established partnership, which provides a wide range of exciting musical opportunities for children in our town.
The Hallé’s Education Director, Steve Pickett, has composed a special piece called Sunshine for the Hallé players and local youngsters to perform together in the concert.
Also performing in the concert will be this year’s Bolton Future Champions, a group of musicians supported by the national charity Future Talent, who have strong links with the Hallé Orchestra
Councillor Ebrahim Adia, Executive Member for Children’s Services at Bolton Council, said: “The concert will be a great occasion for all involved, and will provide our young musicians with great musical role models.
“I am really looking forward to hearing the piece that Steve Pickett has put together, and would encourage as many people as possible to get a ticket and come along.”
The concert will take place at 7pm on Monday, February 7, at Victoria Hall. Tickets cost £4 for adults, while children can attend for free.
