The north-bound slip road from A666 St Peter’s Way to Bradford Street will be closed for a fortnight for bridge repairs.
The slip road which leads to the town centre needs to be closed to allow the bridge on a section of Bradford Street to be upgraded, as part of the council’s annual bridges’ improvement programme.
The other slip roads to and from St Peter’s Way will remain open.
The road closure will come into force at midnight on Saturday, February 26 and the road will reopen on Monday, March 14.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes which will be signposted.
Vehicles travelling on the A666 St Peter’s Way, will be diverted to the next slip road onto Kay Street and then: left along Folds Road; right onto Bury New Road; right onto Castle Street and right again onto Bradford Street.
