Bolton’s range of half-term activities will end with a terrifyingly good range of activities over Halloween.
The town’s youth centres are all offering young people the chance to take part in anything from Morris dancing to boxing, meaning that this week will provide something for everyone.
Some of the more unusual events taking place this week include pottery at Farnworth Youth Centre on Thursday (29/10), while the YMCA will offer girls a chance to discover handball every day throughout the week.
Bolton Council’s mobile clubs will also be out in force across the borough throughout the week, offering street soccer, cultural activities and a meeting place.
One of the highlights of the weekend comes at the Youthopia youth club in Johnson Fold. Together with the Halliwell Action for Work alongside Youth, they will be hosting a Halloween disco for young people aged 11 to 19 on Friday, with another party on Saturday for anyone aged eight to 19.
To help get people in the Halloween spirit, Hall i’ th’ Wood museum is offering craft sessions on Thursday and Friday afternoons from 2pm-4pm, with free entry for all children.
Councillor Ebrahim Adia, Executive Member for Children’s Services, said: “There is so much on to keep Bolton’s young people occupied this half term, especially at the weekend. I hope that as many people as possible get involved in something, and makes the most of their holiday.”
