Rock It! performs live

Five young bands are set to perform live as part of the Rock It! project.

The line up on Thursday, February 25, includes Push To Flip, No Hard Feelings, D-Fest, Hey Kid! and Altered Senses.

All band members became involved through Bolton Council’s Rock It! project which brings together young people, aged 12 to 18, from a variety of backgrounds and musical abilities.

The event, at The Soundhouse studios in Bolton, will be supported by a team of young volunteers who will be helping with everything from sound checks, live sound engineering, lighting displays and stage management.

This is the culmination of several training workshops funded by Bolton CVS, Bolton Arts Forum, Arts Award Fund and Find Your Talent, and supported by Bolton Council, DOA Studios and The Soundhouse.

The young volunteers are part of the Rock It! collective, a community group led by young musicians who wish to get more people taking part in music through training, performances and subsidised facilities.

The gig starts at 7.30pm and entry is £2 donation on the door.
