Parents whose children will be starting primary school in September 2011 should now have received an application pack.
Parents and carers will once again be invited to make their applications online. All those who have registered for their child’s preferred school will receive a letter with their unique identifier code (UID). Once they have received it they will be able to complete the online application form available at www.bolton.gov.uk/schooladmissions or by accessing the link listed to the right of this page.
More than half of all parents and carers apply this way. It’s secure, easy to use and takes very little time to complete.
Parents using it receive an email confirming their application has been received, and they are able to make changes right up until the closing date. The results of the application are also sent by email to those who have applied online.
If you do not have access to the internet at home you can use the free computers at Bolton’s libraries. You can book up to one week in advance, when visiting the library or by contacting the council, though this is not always necessary.
If you have not yet registered your child for primary school you should contact the school admissions team or you have not received a pack, please contact Pupil and Student Services on 01204 332143 or 01204 332137.
This year the closing date for primary school applications is January 14, 2011.
