A fun, free event at Bolton Museum, Aquarium and Archive will take place to celebrate the 10th birthday of The Big Draw.
Drawin’ Darwin: The Origins of Drawing takes place on Saturday, October 10 and links to the museum’s major exhibition Simple Beginnings: The Story of Evolution.
There’s no need to be a drawing expert to take part. People of all ages and abilities will be able to create fantastic art using unusual and surprising methods, from making a skull look lifelike with tape, pencil or wire to creating a bird picture with pipe cleaners.
The event is free and runs from 11am to 4pm and the exhibition is on display until Saturday, November 7.
The Big Draw events take place each October and are part of the national Campaign for Drawing project.
The campaign has created a new regard for the value of drawing to help people see, think, invent and take action, and its long term ambition is to change the way drawing is perceived by the public.
