Traders are being sought for a second-hand indoor market in Westhoughton.
The new venture will open at the back of Westhoughton Market, on Market Street, on Saturday August 7.
The market will trade on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, selling a range of second-hand goods.
Traders can arrive from 8.30am onwards with stalls provided for use in the rear section of the market. Stalls can be rented from just £10 per day.
The general market at Westhoughton will still be open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 9am to 5pm.
Current traders offer a range of products including from clothing and handmade jewellery to food and cards.
Councillor Akhtar Zaman, Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Environmental Services, said: “We’ve already got half a dozen traders on board for this, and it’s a perfect opportunity for people clearing out the attic who want to sell on their items.
“It also gives second-hand Sunday traders the opportunity to trade on a Saturday.”
“The market already offers excellent value for shoppers and the new second hand section will hopefully help attract more customers. More people are looking for bargains in the current economic climate and second-hand markets can be a good way to save ¬money,” he added.
