Crompton Children’s Centre has a new outdoor area for young children.
An open day to unveil new play area – designed especially for children under five years old – will take place on December 13 from 1pm until 3pm.
The outdoor haven has been developed to provide a high-quality play experience for those who use it.
The space can be used throughout the year thanks to the stack of children’s outdoor clothing kindly donated by Regatta.
Visitors to the winter-themed open day will be treated to entertainment from live artists, have some party food and meet Father Christmas.
Children will be encouraged to explore in the sandpit, plant bulbs with their parents in the growing area or decorate pebbles and stones which will feature in the new space.
Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Looked after Children and Safeguarding, Councillor Madeline Murray, said: “The new play area will provide a great place for children who visit the centre. The equipment in it looks fantastic and will help young children to keep active and keep learning.
“I would also like to thank Regatta for providing outdoor clothing, meaning that children will be able to get even more use out of the facility.”
Crompton Children’s Centre offers a range of services to support families with children up to five years old.
The centre also provides expectant mothers with post and ante natal care, family support and links to other services. Parents can bring their children to our activity sessions to support their child’s development and get them ready for starting school.
Local residents can ring the centre for tickets to the open day, costing £2 each.
