More tickets available for Olympic concert

Britain's Got Talent stars, Twist and Pulse, will star at the Olympic concert

A thousand more tickets are up for grabs for Bolton’s Olympic concert on Thursday, May 31.

Thousands of people are already set to enjoy the free event in Spa Road playing fields, Queens Park.

The line-up includes entertainment from indie rock band The Wombats; Britain’s Got Talent stars Twist and Pulse; Bolton pop star Laura White and local community groups.

Ten thousand tickets have already been snapped up but the council is making a further allocation available, on a first come, first served basis, due to demand.

Tickets will be available from 9am, from Thursday, May 24, from Bolton Central Library, Le Mans Crescent. Those aged 14 or under must be accompanied by an adult.

Bolton is one of 66 locations across the UK, and one of only two places in Greater Manchester, that has been chosen to host an official evening celebration by the Olympics committee LOCOG.

Tickets will be available from 9am each day. Full opening hours for Bolton Central Library are: 8.15am to 7.30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 9.30am to 5.30pm on Wednesday, 8.15am to 5.30pm on Friday; 9am to 5pm on Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
