A new mobile skate park is set to benefit young people throughout the borough.
The facility will include a half pipe, grinding rails and a variety of ramps, and can be transported to most locations.
It will be unveiled to the public at an event at Waggon Road Young Persons Centre on Tuesday, May 26 and then will make a second appearance at Central Park, Westhoughton on Friday, May 29.
Between 11am and 3pm on both days there will be light refreshments and activities for all the family, plus the chance to try out the equipment. People are encouraged to take along their skateboards, bikes and scooters so they can join in the fun.
The mobile skate park can be hired out for a variety of events, either in its entirety or in sections according to customer requirements.
Cabinet Member for Culture, Youth and Sport, Cllr John Byrne, said: “As part of our commitment to investing in facilities for young people last year, a mobile skate park was highlighted as something that would benefit a lot of people in the borough.
“It’s evident from the number of young people who use the town centre skate park that this type of activity is popular. By making the facility mobile, every area in Bolton should be able to access the equipment.”
