Mobile Advice Centre rolls into town

Free benefit help and advice will be available across Bolton as the Mobile Advice Centre (MAC) travels around the borough next week.

The centre will be available each day, between 10am and 3.30pm, at:

Monday 15 June: Brackley St, Farnworth
Tuesday 16 June: Morrisons, Harwood
Wednesday 17 June: B&Q, Bolton Gate Retail Park
Thursday 18 June: Victoria Square, Bolton town centre
Friday 19 June: UCAN Centre, Oldhams Estate, Astley Bridge

The MAC regularly tours Bolton as part of the council's campaign to help residents receive up-to-date benefits information for their individual circumstances. The team staffing the mobile centre will try to identify potential entitlements by carrying out quick checks and there are private interview rooms for anyone wanting to speak to staff about their individual requirements. Entitlement rules have recently changed allowing further people to apply, so it's worth checking if you could qualify.

This is old news but could be updated: Already this year, over 500 people have received personal advice on a wide range of benefits, grants and discounts. Weekly awards given to those who made a claim after receiving advice has often exceeded £70 per week with the most gains being seen by people over 60.
If you’re unable to visit the Mobile Advice Centre then visit the link above and click on ‘benefits calculator’ to check if you can claim benefits including: housing and council tax benefits, pension credit and local housing allowance.

You will receive an instant answer highlighting the level of benefit you could be entitled to – you can then choose to continue and make an online claim.
