The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Bolton is just a few days away and it is set to be an unforgettable event for all the family.
Lots of local people have already signed up for the Mile, on March 25, in Leverhulme Park, but there’s still time to join in.
Participants can choose their own distance, from one, three or six miles, and can complete it in any way they want.
To enter the Mile, register on Sport Relief's website. Cost to enter is £15 for a family, or £3 for a child and £6 for an adult.
Setting off from Leverhulme Park running track, the Sport Relief Mile will raise money for people living tough lives right here on our doorstep; across the rest of the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.
Councillor Elaine Sherrington, Bolton Council Executive Member said: “It’s fantastic that so many people of Bolton are gathering together to show their support for Sport Relief 2012. We want this to be the best Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile yet, so enter today and join the rest of the nation in raising plenty of cash for a great cause.”
At the start of the event in the running track arena, Sports Direct and Sainsbury’s will be selling official merchandise.
Visitors can join in a Zumba warm-up session, sports taster sessions, and a climbing wall will also be on offer..
Bolton FM will be on hand entertaining the crowds with a roadshow.
