Mature drivers seminar returns

Drivers aged 50 plus have another opportunity to attend a free mature drivers seminar on Tuesday, September 7.

The event will take place at Westhoughton Cricket Club, off Cappadocia Way, in Westhoughton from 10am to noon.

The seminar is aimed at drivers who feel they would benefit from a refresher on safer driving techniques.

The session will include a presentation on these techniques and a copy of the Highway Code will be given out to each delegate on the day.

Persons attending will receive a free copy of the Highway Code.

The seminars are arranged by Bolton Council in partnership with Bolton Advanced Motorists. Places are limited and previous seminars have been over subscribed. Call Bolton Council’s Road Safety Team on 01204 336465 to reserve a place.

Bookings will be confirmed in writing and will include a seminar programme and directions to Westhoughton Cricket Club.

No driving is required on the day, but everyone attending will be offered the chance to book a free follow-up driving assessment, at a later date, in their own car. Drivers can select either a bronze, silver or gold level of assessment, which will be carried out by Bolton Advanced Motorists.

Refreshments will be provided at the event.
