Next Tuesday (17/11) the Victoria Hall will host an evening of music making with Bolton’s young musicians and the world-famous Hallé Orchestra.
Members of Bolton Music Service, part of Bolton Council will be performing alongside professional musicians from the orchestra in a joint concert starting at 7pm.
Bolton Music Service and the orchestra enjoy a well established partnership, which provides a wide range of exciting musical opportunities for children across the borough.
Earlier this year the two organisations got together in Manchester at the Bridgewater Hall and the concert was so successful that it is now being brought to Bolton.
The Hallé’s Education Director, Steve Pickett, has composed a special piece called It Goes Something Like This for the Hallé players and local youngsters to perform together in the concert.
Councillor Ebrahim Adia, Executive Member for Children’s Services at Bolton Council, said: “The concert will be a great occasion for all involved, and will provide our young musicians with great musical role models.
“I am really looking forward to hearing the piece that Steve Pickett has put together, and would encourage as many people as possible to get a ticket and come along.”
Tickets will be on sale at £3 each, or £10 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 concessions). Please contact Laura Henthorn at Bolton Music Service on 01204 333533 for more details.
