Lots to do in the Haulgh

11/11/10

There's lots to do for young people in the Haulgh every Friday.

The Tonge and the Haulgh Area Forum and Neighbourhood Management, Youth Services and the local North Haulgh Community Group, have worked to provide funding and develop the activities.

They are all free and take place at the old police station on Castle Street.

They include:

  • Learn how to be a martial arts warrior with Northwest Warriors; 7-8pm for 11-15 year olds and 8-9pm for 16-19 year olds.
  • Hair and beauty sessions with Style Wise. Get tips and tricks from beauty experts to create your very own catwalk image; 7.30pm.
  • Mobile youth club (in the courtyard at the rear of the police station). Get moving with the mobile youth club at Box 1, where you can challenge new friends on the Wii, get crafty or get arty; 5.30-8.30pm.
