A chance to help shape the future of culture in Bolton awaits interested organisations and individuals at a special event.
Bolton’s Cultural Network is issuing an open invitation to their evening of culture and entertainment at the Lion of Vienna Suite, Reebok Stadium on Tuesday, September 29.
There will be a series of interactive workshops, a chance to review culture in Bolton to date and an opportunity to discuss and plan the town’s cultural offer in the years ahead.
The workshops are: Find Your Talent – how to engage with children and young people; Funding – how to highlight funding opportunities; Communications – web technology, social media, Bolton FM and Events – forward planning for the year ahead, including the 2012 Olympics.
There will also be entertainment from RhythmFX who will perform a Northern Soul track.
The event runs from 5.30pm until 9pm and offers an ideal opportunity for any sort of dance, music, sport, heritage or drama organisation – to name just a few - to get involved in the Cultural Network and have an input in how the town can improve the events and activities it offers.
Ideas and information shared on the night will ultimately help to produce a new cultural strategy for Bolton.
The event is free of charge but interested parties must confirm their attendance with Helen Plumtree by 5pm on Monday, September 28. Contact details are in the right hand panel of this page.
