Heaton Fold Cafe extends its operation

Heaton Fold Cafe

A popular café is continuing to operate at Heaton Fold Garden Centre.

Quirky Birdz Catering Services opened the café on a trial basis until Christmas, but it has been so popular, they are looking to extend it for the rest of the year.

The café will continue to offer a variety of drinks, light bites, hot lunches and a selection of freshly made cakes. Small parties can also be catered for by prior arrangement. The café will also offer vintage crockery hire and has plans to be breast-feeding friendly.

Bolton Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, Cllr Sufrana Bashir-Ismail, said: “Heaton Garden Centre has a great range of products including spring bulbs, as well as plants, garden ornaments and gifts and the café has been a brilliant new addition. With the varied menu, and attractive setting, it is the perfect location to stop for a nibble or a hot drink.

“We’re delighted the operator has decided to continue operating the café and hope it continues to go from strength to strength.”

Joan Burrage from Quirky Birdz said: “We’ve had a warm welcome from visitors and the café has been really popular, so we’re pleased to be able to continue operating at the centre. We will be offering catering for small parties, such as birthday parties, day trips and wakes and will also be offering vintage crockery for hire. We hope that everyone will come down to see the beautiful setting and delicious food we have on offer.”

The opening hours will be 9.30 – 3.30 on Monday – Thursday and 9 – 3 on Friday. The cafe will also open at the weekends from March onwards.
