A short section of Great Moor Street will be closed for four weeks from Monday March 11 due to road works.
Bolton Council and utility companies are continuing works as part of the £2.5 million Blackhorse Street road improvement scheme to open the road to two-way traffic which will ease congestion and allow better access to the south of the town centre.
Motorists are asked to be patient during the road closure and every effort has been made to minimise disruption with Blackhorse Street reopening prior to the closure of Great Moor Street.
A diversion will be in place for traffic traveling west along Great Moor Street from Bradshawgate, taking an anti-clockwise route along Blackhorse Street, Deansgate, Moor Lane and Ormrod Street.
A Bolton Council helpline is available on 01204 336677 for anyone requiring further information.
