A free family activity day is taking place at Leverhulme Park on Saturday, May 7.
A host of outdoor activities will take place from noon until 4pm including cycling, walking, running and orienteering.
Outdoor go-karts will satisfy those with a need for speed, while those who prefer to take life at a gentler pace can enjoy guided nature walks around the park.
Younger visitors will be kept entertained by a bouncy castle, Wii games and face painting while adults can find out about local health and fitness activities around the borough.
Two of the latest health and fitness crazes will be available for people to take a taster session; visitors can have a go at the Latin inspired dance and fitness workout, Zumba, or try Nordic Walking, which involves using specially designed poles when walking to give a full body workout.
Leaflets are now available for the park’s new cycling trail and three family orienteering courses. For more information please contact the Sport, Health and Inclusion team on 01204 334338.
