Shoppers can look forward to First Aid fun and frolics this weekend.
Bolton Council has lined up street theatre company Stickleback Plasticus to entertain visitors on Saturday, March 12.
A duo of street artists will perform a ‘St Joan’s Ambulance’ routine, using street furniture to blaze a trail of self-destruction, turning the smallest obstacle into a mountain of trouble.
Stickleback Plasticus have been performing in festivals all over the world for more than ten years.
They will perform three 30-minute shows in Victoria Square at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm.
Following the success of town centre Saturday entertainment over the last two years, Bolton Council has organised a variety of acts over the next few months to boost town centre footfall and trade.
Stickleback Plasticus are the latest in a long line of free performances that the council has lined up to draw shoppers in to town.
Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Development and Regeneration, Councillor Ismail Ibrahim, said: “Whoever happens to have a chance encounter with the St Joan’s Ambulance brigade on Saturday is guaranteed to leave in stitches.
“If you fancy some free, family-friendly fun, then our weekly town centre events are guaranteed to entertain.”
