Free parking on offer over Easter

Free parking

Shoppers are being reminded in the run up to Easter that free car parking is available in Bolton town centre.

Thousands of parking spaces will be free all day Good Friday (March 25), Saturday and Sunday, and Bank Holiday Monday (March 28).
Deane Road, the Octagon and Topp Way multi-storey car parks are operating the offer.
The free weekend and bank holiday offer was introduced by Bolton Council in 2013 and is ongoing.

The council’s partners NCP, who operate the multi-storey car parks, are implementing the scheme.
Leader of Bolton Council, Councillor Cliff Morris, said: “This is really good for our local businesses, our shoppers and visitors to the town centre.

“We know that the free parking scheme helps families and is very popular.”
On-street parking is also available in the town centre, and motorists are being reminded that they can pay for on-street parking with a credit or debit card via the RingGo service.
Motorists parking in an area displaying the RingGo sign (usually on the pay and display machine) just need to contact RingGo via the phone app, SMS, online or by telephone.
