Hundreds of people have enjoyed the town centre festive fun organised by the council.
The market and entertainment, organised by the council to draw shoppers into the town, come to an end this weekend. Entertainment planned includes dancers, an Irish country band and choir singers.
Fairies Sugar and Plum will also bring their unique comedy routine and giant musical Christmas pudding to Victoria Square to entertain shoppers on Sunday, December 20. They will perform at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Shows last 30 minutes.
Bolton’s local produce market will also take place on Sunday, December 20 instead of Sunday, December 27. Traders from the market will join forces with continental stallholders for the last weekend of the festive market. Visitors can browse stalls selling goods ranging from crafts to cakes.
Councillor Cliff Morris, Leader of Bolton Council, said: “We’ve had some fun over the last few weekends and we hope everyone’s enjoyed the festive programme. We have had some really good feedback and we’re hoping we can build on this for next year. I’d also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a good New Year.”
