Victoria Square will play host to a huge fashion show this Saturday, May 21.

Fashion lovers are in for a treat when Bolton’s retailers showcase their ranges as part of the clothes show.

Models will strut their stuff down a catwalk sporting the latest Spring/Summer fashion trends from shops including DB3, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Next, Sainsbury’s, and Republic.

There will be four shows featuring men’s and women’s clothing throughout the day.

Bolton College is also taking part with students from the hair, beauty and accessories courses showcasing their skills.

Bolton Fashion Show Live has been organised by the Central Bolton Partnership, the council’s membership service which promotes businesses in Bolton town centre.

The free event starts at 10.30am in the town centre. Fashionistas can browse through a boutique market, where they can pick up fashion and beauty tips and browse clothes stalls.

Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Development and Regeneration, Councillor Ismail Ibrahim, said: “The fashion show will give people the chance to browse the latest looks, which they can then go and buy from the shops in the town centre.

“This is the first major event on the Spring calendar and will hopefully boost town centre trade.

“We have an exciting events programme lined up for the next few months with sporting spectacle Ironman returning on July 30 and our much loved Food and Drink Festival on the August bank holiday weekend, so there’s much to look forward to.”

Market Place Shopping Centre manager, Rod Neasham, added: “This show will be a great boost for our retailers. It gives them the opportunity to showcase their latest trends and in turn hopefully encourage shoppers to pick up an item or two from one of the shops taking part.”

The shows will take place in a marquee at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm. Real Radio’s Darren Parks will present the shows.

A £500 Market Place gift card is up for grabs at the Real Radio website and competitions will run throughout the day.
