Bin collections have been suspended in Bolton on Thursday 7 January due to the weather.
This was due to the cold conditions with ice on the roads and pavements, leading to unsafe working conditions.
Every effort will be made to collect waste for the remaining collection days this week, however many roads and pavements are still unsafe so this may not be possible.
If necessary, staff will take excess waste on the next collection provided waste is presented appropriately in tied up sacks.
Residents are advised to bring in both grey bins and recycling bins or containers from the collection point and re-present them on the next scheduled collection day.
Those residents with access to a vehicle can take their excess waste to their nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre, all of which are open from 8am until 6pm every day.
The council apologises for the inconvenience caused by the recent service disruption.
