Bolton Council services for today (15 January) during the severe weather.
Bin collections have resumed in Bolton today (15 January) where possible. Grey bins and recycling bins will be collected where roads are accessible and safe. However, green garden waste bins have been suspended.
Poole Street North, All Saints East and West, Railway Triangle and Breightmet Street are not closed but it is strongly recommended that these car parks are avoided today.
Shoppers are encouraged to use Bolton's four multi-storey car parks at Deane Road, the Octagon, Market Place and Bow Street.
Permit holders with permits provided by NCP Ltd that are unable to park on their usual car park, may park on the new multi-storey car park at Deane Road; entrances off Stanley Street and Wellington Street.
Council staff have been gritting and ploughing snow on a regular basis. The council is gritting all of its designated routes across Bolton.
The gritting vehicles cover 510km of roads along 25 gritting routes. Ploughs are deployed where snow is two inches deep or greater.
