Work to improve Deane Road and University Way junction will start week commencing Monday, August 23.
The scheme involves the upgrading of the traffic signals to include pedestrian crossing facilities, and resurfacing of the road and footpaths.
The work is being carried out to facilitate access for students to the new colleges’ development on Deane Road.
Improvements are expected to take 12 weeks to complete, dependent on weather conditions. The major works have been timed to take place during off-peak hours to keep disruption to a minimum.
