Residents have just days to complete a survey which will help shape the future housing need of the borough.
Bolton Council is gathering information to help prepare its Strategic Housing Market Assessment, a document that will inform future planning policy around housing.
Around 12,000 surveys have been sent out to a random selection of residents across the borough. The deadline for completed surveys is February 25.
Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Housing, Councillor Nick Peel, said: “Thank you to everyone who has filled out and returned the survey. The response so far has been good but some residents may have received a survey, put it to one side and forgotten about it, and I’d like to remind them that the opportunity is still there to complete the survey.
“The council is responsible for shaping and developing housing strategy for the borough and planning for the future housing needs of the borough is a priority for us.”
Since the last Strategic Housing Market Assessment in 2006, the council has delivered 472 affordable homes and levered in extra funding.
All information gathered is confidential. Completed surveys can be returned in the pre-paid envelopes provided or online.
