Green-fingered enthusiasts in Bolton town centre on Saturday (April 2) can pick up a few tips from street entertainers.
Pete and Ged Moss from the Bread and Butter Theatre Company will entertain shoppers with their very own version of Gardeners’ Question Time.
Together with a musical wheelbarrow, they will be on hand to answer horticultural and healthy lifestyle queries.
The performers will be mingling with shoppers browsing an international food, gifts and crafts market in Victoria Square.
Market Place (Europe) Limited, one of the UK’s leading special event market companies, is holding an international market from Thursday, March 31 until Sunday, April 3.
Traders from as far afield as China, Thailand, India, Mexico and South Africa will join sellers from countries including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Greece to entice shoppers in to the town centre.
Following the success of town centre Saturday entertainment over the last two years, Bolton Council has organised a variety of free acts over the next few months to boost town centre footfall and trade.
The Bread and Butter Theatre Company will perform three 30-minute shows at noon, 1pm and 2pm, in Victoria Square on Saturday, April 2.
Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Development and Regeneration, Councillor Ismail Ibrahim, said: “The Bread and Butter Theatre Company has performed several shows in Bolton previously, and they’ve always gone down a treat.
"I hope that the entertainers are well received again and I think that together with the international market there will be something for everyone.”
