Calling all Bolton heroes

There’s only weeks to go to nominate your unsung hero.

The Mayor of Bolton Councillor Norman Critchley is calling on residents to come forward and nominate those special individuals who voluntarily work tirelessly in the community and for charity.

Nominations will close on September 27. A judging panel will select the finalists for the ‘Unsung Hero of the Year Awards,’ who will all be invited to a charity luncheon and awards ceremony at the Reebok Stadium on October 16.

The winner, along with the three runners up, will be announced at the ceremony. All will then be presented with awards.

The Mayor of Bolton Councillor Norman Critchley said: “I would like all of our local heroes to be recognised for the selfless work that they do, from the person who calls in to check on their neighbours to all the amazing fundraisers out there - we want to find them.

“I urge our residents to start nominating these unique people so they can be acknowledged at what promises to be a memorable event.”
