Boredom busting summer activities 


There are a wide variety of exciting activities taking place in Bolton this summer holidays for five to 19 year olds.

Indoor and outdoor activities start from Saturday 24 July and include fun play sessions for younger children, musical events, drama, arts and crafts, music and sports for all ages. There will also be series of trips and visit from some of the venues.

A Play Day event in Victoria Square will take place on 4 August with a host of free activities including a climbing wall, music, sports and street games.

The fun-filled mobile boxes will also be out in force across Bolton throughout the summer holidays, offering street soccer, cultural activities and a meeting place.

Councillor Ebrahim Adia, Executive Member for Children’s Services, said: “There will be lots of activities to keep young people entertained this summer with something to suit everyone. The summer activities provide the chance to try something new, something you enjoy and meet new friends.”

To find out about holiday activities, pick up a copy of the new Summer Fun in Bolton leaflet, there is a separate copy for Bolton North, Bolton South and Bolton West.

Leaflets have been distributed to every school and are available from school receptions, libraries, leisure centres, youth centres, and children and young people’s centres across Bolton.
