United Utilities is advising customers in Bolton that there is no longer any need to boil their water for drinking and eating purposes.
The boil water advice was issued on Tuesday 21 July, 2015 as a precautionary measure following a technical failure at the water treatment works which supplies the area. It affected properties in the following post code areas:
BL1 2, BL1 3, BL1 4, BL1 5, BL1 6, BL1 7, BL1 8, BL2 2, BL2 3, BL2 4, BL2 5, BL2 6, BL6 4, BL7 0, BL7 8, and BL7 9
Water samples taken by United Utilities over the last three days indicate that water quality is back to its normal high standards. This means all customers can use their water as normal.
