Residents can get on a bus next week to get free help on getting back into work.
Bolton Council’s Works bus will be out and about in different areas of Bolton, with advisors on board providing help with job applications, getting new skills and advice on becoming self-employed.
The events have been organised by the council’s Business Bolton service, which provides a whole range of support for people looking for work, businesses and those looking to start up a business.
The bus will be at the following locations: on Tuesday, April 13, Castle Hill centre car park, Castle Street from 8am to 1pm; SMS supermarket car park, Crompton Way, from 1.30pm to 4pm.
On Wednesday, April 14, Tonge Moor children’s centre, Starkie Road, 8am to 1pm and Crompton health centre, Crompton Way, from 1.30pm to 4pm.
On Thursday, April 15, Tonge Moor UCAN centre, Tonge Moor Road, from 11am to 3pm.
Councillor John Byrne, Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Development and Regeneration, said: “These events are an ideal opportunity for people who need advice finding work, gaining new skills or even starting up a business. People can just drop in at a time that's convenient to them and all the help on offer is free."
Residents attending the free drop-in sessions will be entered into a free prize draw for a chance to win an Apple iPhone.
The events are supported by the council’s partners Bolton at Home and Jobcentre Plus.
