The “Best Big Band in the Land” is playing for one night only at the Albert Halls, Bolton on Tuesday, February 16.
Chris Dean’s Syd Lawrence Orchestra has a sizzling programme of music for all big band fans.
Featuring the music of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald to name but a few, the show promises to be a captivating and exciting performance that transports audiences back to the glory days of the live band sound.
Founded in 1967 by trumpeter Syd Lawrence, the band has been entertaining fans ever since.
After retiring in 1996, the band was directed by Chris Dean and the trombonist continued with Syd’s legacy following the veteran’s death in 1998
With a repertoire of more than 1,200 classic tunes, Chris Dean’s Syd Lawrence Orchestra has been voted Best Big Band in the Land for 12 consecutive years.
