All aboard for Santa

Santa's Express

Children who’ve been very good this year are invited to travel on Santa’s Express and meet Santa himself at Moss Bank Park this weekend.

Father Christmas will be visiting the park the weekend of December 12th and 13th, and children will be able to board the miniature railway for a ride to visit him as he finishes making the presents in his Toyland workshop.

He has been very busy this year making extra presents especially for those children who are going to visit him.

Once the train has returned you to the station, young people will be able to make their own winter bird feeders and Christmas cards whilst small children will be able to enjoy the rides on the children’s fairground.

There'll also be free snacks and soft drinks for the children and mince pies, hot chestnuts and mulled wine for the grown ups, with festive entertainment from street artists.

The event has been organised by Bolton Council in conjunction with the Moss Bank Park Model Engineering Society and will be open from 12.00noon – 6.00pm on Saturday and from 12 noon – 5.00pm on Sunday.  A charge of £3 will apply for the train journey.

Councillor Sufrana Bashir-Ismail, Executive Member for Cleaner, Greener, Safer commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Santa back to Moss Bank Park for his annual visit and hope that children enjoy riding on the train and visiting him in his grotto.”
