Schools’ summer holidays start next week, and Bolton will host a variety of activities to keep young people busy.
Those aged between four and 19 will find a range of activities on offer throughout the summer, including play sessions; drama; arts and crafts; music; and sports for all ages.
This year there are also a number of summer camps taking place offering film-making, glass painting, cookery and nail art.
Most of the sessions are free, and further details can be found in the Summer Fun in Bolton leaflets for more details. Leaflets will be available at children’s and young people’s centres, schools and other community venues.
For details of all the activities available, visit the Local Directory via the link on the right hand side, or contact the five-19 Service Administration Team on 01204 332323.
Lauren Webb, one of Bolton’s youth MPs, said: “It is great for young people to have access to free activities over the summer and it is an opportunity for them to try something they wouldn’t normally do”.
Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Children’s Services, Councillor Nick Peel, said: “With so much on offer across the borough for young people this summer, there really is something for everyone.
“I would encourage anyone interested in fun, free activities during the school holidays to log onto the website and find out what is happening in their area.
