You can search planning applications, planning appeals or check the progress and submit comments on any current application. If the 21 day online consultation period has expired, you can make comments by email until a decision is made.

Bolton welcomes and encourages planning applications being made online through the planning portal. You can apply online by using the link to the right.

Planning application forms available for download

The standard planning application form is only available from this web site. We no longer provide paper copies of the forms. We recommend that you apply for planning permission online as described above.

The council has produced a validation checklist for each of the application types. This document is available on the page relating to the application type.You should read this document carefully to ensure that you include all the information required in order to avoid delay in determining your application.
